About Anna

My work is shaped by over 25 years of personal and professional engagement with healing, self-awareness, and trauma. I came to counselling through a long-standing interest in understanding the human mind and what helps people feel safer, steadier, and more at ease in themselves.

In my early twenties I completed a degree in Psychology and Social Anthropology, which deepened my understanding of human experience, relationships, and context. Alongside this, I began working therapeutically with autistic children, and later with children and adults in a range of settings.

Over the years, I trained in Ayurveda, yoga, and mindfulness, and explored somatic approaches through movement, dance, and other body-based practices. This led me to facilitate somatic group work and later to work one-to-one using somatic therapy.

After having my child, I undertook professional training in integrative and psychodynamic counselling with a humanistic core, followed by further training in trauma-informed therapy. I am currently training as a Somatic Experiencing® trauma therapist.

In my work, I take a gentle, steady, and collaborative approach. I pay close attention to the nervous system as well as to what is being shared, and I work at a pace that feels manageable and respectful. My aim is to offer a calm, grounded space where there is no pressure to rush, perform, or find the right words.

I work with adults, offering a grounded and respectful space where you can explore your experience at your own pace.
